As a truck driver, it is important to be aware of The Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations (HVNL) such as:

- Route planning and navigation
Drive Multi-Combination Vehicle – TLIC4006
This course involves both theory and practical training covering driving the multi-combination vehicle, including, coupling and uncoupling; road positioning; turning corners and braking; reversing and parking; completing a work diary; planning and route; legislation and signage requirements and breakdown situations.
The course is conducted one-on-one with the trainer and is competency based.
Licence to Operate a Forklift Vehicle - TLILIC2001
The Forklift Course is conducted over 2-3 days plus an assessment day. It includes all theory training and log book hours, written and practical assessments.
Prepare to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road – TLILIC3013A
This course is run over 2 days, once completed you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment which you are able to use to apply for your Dangerous Goods Licence with the following documents;
- Current QLD Drivers Licence
- Completed Medical Certificate
- Criminal history check
The course covers ID systems; identifying UN numbers and UN classes including packaging; vehicle checks and suitability; documentation; securing the vehicle and planning.
Complete a Work Diary in the Road Transport Industry - TLIE3028
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to compile the information required for a work diary used in the road transport industry and complete the diary according to the regulatory and legislative requirements.
Apply Fatigue Management Strategies - TLIF2010
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to apply fatigue management strategies, including identifying and acting upon signs of fatigue and implementing appropriate strategies to minimise fatigue during work activities, in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Load & Unload Goods/ Cargo - TLID2004 & Secure Cargo – TLIA1001
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to load and unload goods and cargo, including loading and unloading goods, securing and protecting the load and completing all required documentation. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this unit.
